General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

1. Scope of Application

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all deliveries from FILTROTECH GmbH (hereinafter "Provider") to consumers (§ 13 BGB). A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly neither commercial nor their independent professional activity. These GTC apply to our online shop as well as our sales presences on eBay and Amazon.

3. Offer and Conclusion of Contract

3.1 The presentation of products in the online shop and on the platforms eBay and Amazon does not constitute a legally binding offer, but an invitation to order.

3.2 Online Shop: By clicking the button [Complete Purchase / Pay Now], the customer places a binding order. The contract is concluded when we send an order confirmation via email.

3.3 eBay: The contract is concluded according to eBay's terms (e.g., by clicking "Buy It Now" or winning an auction).

3.4 Amazon: The contract is concluded upon dispatch of the goods or an explicit shipping confirmation.

4. Right of Withdrawal

Right of Withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen (14) days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you or a third party named by you, who is not the carrier, have taken possession of the last goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us:

by means of a clear statement (e.g., a letter sent by post or an email) of your decision to withdraw from this contract.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of Withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including delivery costs (except for additional costs resulting from choosing a non-standard delivery), within fourteen days. We use the same means of payment used for the initial transaction.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or evidence of return.

You shall send back the goods within fourteen days of notifying us. You bear the direct costs of returning the goods.

6. Prices and Shipping Costs

6.1 Prices include statutory VAT. Shipping costs are shown during the checkout process and on a separate information page.

6.2 For deliveries outside the EU, additional customs duties or taxes may apply, which must be borne by the buyer.

7. Warranty and Wear Parts

8.1 Statutory liability for defects applies (2 years). This does not cover natural wear and tear of consumables (e.g., filter media, membranes, seals) provided they are replaced within their standard usage period.

8.2 Warranty claims are excluded for defects caused by improper installation, operation, or lack of maintenance.

8. Water Quality Requirements

Faultless operation is only guaranteed if drinking water quality is maintained:

  • Conductivity max. 2000 µS/cm
  • Water temperature max. 40°C
  • Water pressure max. 690 kPa (100 psi)

9. Limitation of Liability

10.1 We are liable for intent and gross negligence. For light negligence, we only liable for the breach of essential contractual obligations.

10.2 Important Safety Note: We accept no liability for water damage caused by the operation of a system without an automatic water-stop device (AquaStop), as this constitutes contributory negligence under § 254 BGB.

10. Dispute Resolution

The EU platform for online dispute resolution: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings.
